The IJSIE and GARPSY Publishing establish the following guidelines for using Artificial Intelligence (AI) in scientific research, which should apply to author (s) and editorial committee member (s). This policy aims to ensure transparency, ethical integrity, and quality of scientific publications. It further preserves the authenticity and originality of publications.
Authorship conditions
The AI resources cannot be included as authors or co-authors in any IJSIE publication. Authorship implies ethical and intellectual responsibility, attributes that an automated system cannot assume. Human author (s) must be the sole individuals responsible for the scientific content.
AI usage declaration
The AI tools significantly contribute to knowledge development, including information systematisation, algorithm development, and data processing. The author (s) must clearly specify and disclose in detail the use of AI in his/her article in the section: "ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE USAGE DECLARATION". The author (s) must describe the type of software used and its purpose. The omission of this acknowledgment will be considered a lack of transparency and may result in rejection of the scientific article.
Stylistic review
It is optional to declare the use of AI tools when employed solely for typographical correction, writing enhancement, or ensuring the stylistic coherence of scientific manuscripts. These applications are permitted if they are not used to generate new content or to reformulate the text. The author (s) is (are) responsible for ensuring that the final version of the manuscript is original and of human authorship.
Text correction and improvement
It is unnecessary to declare the use of AI when these tools are used exclusively for typographical correction, writing enhancement, or ensuring the stylistic coherence of manuscripts. The AI usage may optimise readability and eliminate errors, but it is prohibited from creating autonomous content. The author (s) is (are) responsible for guaranteeing that the final version of the manuscript is original and human-authored.
